Jasper Raats has enhanced his reputation as a fine winemaker at Longridge by winning gold medals for consecutive vintages and the kitchen works wonders with the fresh herbs and vegetables from Sally's organic gardens.
All Longridge farming activities are organic, one of the few in the region. At times the aroma of the organic fertiliser is inescapable, but the flavour and taste of natural herbs and vegetables trumps any olfactory considerations.
Just down the porch is the wine tasting locale. Sipping the range of Longridge wines on the porch, looking out across the farmlands to the sea and Table Mountain on a summer's day, or inside by the fireplace on a winter's day - what better way to enjoy life!
